What we offer

Music and mental health support

Seed Studios is an arts and mental health charity running music studios in Old Trafford & Broomwood (Timperley).

At the core of our activities, are our Community Music Wellbeing Workshops which offer free creative and social opportunities for all adults 18+ living in the communities near our Old Trafford and Broomwood centres. We encourage volunteers to lead sessions, sharing skills and equipment while developing their own artistic practice.

Day to day, Seed Studios provides opportunities for members of the public who may be struggling with their mental health or seeking wellbeing in the form of open, group music workshops. These sessions are designed to build confidence and skills. They are open and welcoming to all, irrespective of background and ability. Whether it be singing, the guitar, music production or whatever instrument you are interested in, we will have a workshop you’ll fit right in at.

Our Mission and Vision

Past projects

Alongside our day to day workshops, we also organise innovative, volunteer-led projects that provide exciting opportunities and expand our impact across Trafford, Manchester and Salford. We’ve curated electronic music festivals, cut vinyl records, recorded the sounds of the city and loads more with help from funders like the Arts Council England, Forever Manchester and Trafford Council. Have a look at some of the past projects we ran.
