What we offer

Music and wellbeing

Seed Studios is an arts and wellbeing organisation running music and media studios in Old Trafford & Broomwood (Timperley).

At the core of our activities are our community wellbeing workshops offering creative and social opportunities for everyone surrounding our Old Trafford and Broomwood centres. We encourage trained volunteers to lead sessions, sharing skills and equipment while developing their own artistic practice inspired by local diversity.

Day to day, Seed Studios provides opportunities for members of the public who are struggling with their mental health or seeking wellbeing in the form of open, group music workshops. These sessions are designed to build confidence and skills. They are open and welcoming to all, irrespective of background and ability. Whether it be singing, the guitar, music software or whatever instrument you are interested in, we will have a workshop you’ll fit right in at.

Past projects

Alongside our day to day workshops, we also organise innovative, volunteer-led projects that provide exciting opportunities and expand our impact across Trafford and Manchester. We’ve curated electronic music festivals, cut vinyl records, recorded the sounds of the city and loads more with help from funders like the Arts Council England, Forever Manchester and Big Lottery Fund. Have a look at some of the past projects we ran.
